Located near the Mehrauli bus terminal, the mosque dates to the 18-19th century CE. The domed structure is rectangular in plan and showcases decorations on the parapet with guldasta design. All four corners of the mosque comprise square turrets with cupolas. The Mughal-era mosque is presently inaccessible and has been encroached upon. It lies in a dilapidated state and requires maintenance and repairs.

Built in the year 1922 by Sir Sultan Ahmed on the Chand Patel Marg. It showcases elements of Islamic architecture such as its central high domed tower and the two-domed pavilions on either side. It has been used as the headquarters of the Transport Department of the Bihar Government. The palatial building has a very high potential for adaptive reuse as a heritage hotel. Ironically, the Bihar Cabinet recently approved the demolition of the palace for the construction of a five-star hotel.

Most historic buildings, contrary to popular belief, can be saved and reused, provided there is will and support in such belief.

The vernacular residential precinct is located near Namdapha road, and has forested areas in the vicinity. The Chang-ghars on stilts are reconstructed after every 12-15 years, keeping the building tradition and skills alive. Vernacular construction materials (bamboo, timber frames, jing patta roofs) and techniques are at risk of being replaced with non-contextual contemporary materials.

Radhadamodar Temple of Maitis, Purba Medinipur District, West Bengal

Built around 1837 CE, the Pancha Ratna temple is located in Manglai Shyamballavpur, Panskura Block. It is profusely decorated in terracotta, depicting scenes from epics. There was algae growth on the terracotta decorations and the peripheral structures were in ruins. Cleaning work has been done recently by an organisation from the local community.
