Schedule of Rates (SOR) for Building Conversation Works, January 2016

The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage has prepared the integrated schedule of rates focusing both heritage conservation as well as renovation works. Where traditional materials and traditional techniques are followed for preparation of Rate Analysis for Restoration Works, modern materials and techniques are also considered if found compatible with Heritage Buildings and included in the Schedule of Rates.

Offering Technical Assistance for heritage property owners/users

To safeguard our built heritage, Architectural Heritage Division has established a Technical Assistance Desk for private owners/users to seek advice on: conservation matters, compatible repair work, maintenance and reuse of heritage structures.

Heritage at Risk’ Register for built heritage

A register is being compiled listing unprotected built heritage sites that are under natural and/or human-induced threats (facing pressures from inconsiderate urbanisation, development or tourism). This is an appeal to contribute to the ‘Heritage at Risk’ Register at pdahintach@gmail.com. Kindly make us aware of such unprotected heritage buildings, mentioning the name, location, photograph and 100 words about the threatened site.

State of Built Heritage of India

Kindly contribute to INTACH’s crucial initiative: ‘State of Built Heritage of India’ report with a focus on unprotected heritage. Please send an article of about 500 words at pdahintach@gmail.com. The article could focus on a certain challenge pertaining to unprotected built heritage, giving examples of some cases in point. Or, the article could be about specific cases of built heritage highlighting challenging issues or illustrating good examples. These would be incorporated with due acknowledgement. Please enclose relevant photographs.
